McMahon Pharma Consulting Ltd., providing pharmacovigilance and quality consulting is based in Cork, Ireland since 2020. Our company previously operated from Scotland where the business was started in 2017 by Ashley McMahon. Our company provides pharmaceutical companies and their services providers, both large and small, with a professional pharmacovigilance service focused on compliance and quality. The location offers excellent transport links by road, rail and air within Ireland, United Kingdom, Europe and beyond.
Ashley has worked in pharmacovigilance for over 15 years in both pharmaceutical companies and their service providers. This has enabled her to gain in depth experience and knowledge across all pharmacovigilance task including, but not limited to;
Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV)
Pharmacovigilance System Master Files (PSMF)
Training
Signal management
Aggregate reports
Safety data exchange agreements (SDEAs)
Project management plans
Case processing, including EudraVigilance/MHRA portal
Literature
Ashley has a particular interest and eye for the quality aspects of pharmacovigilance systems which includes;
Auditing, including preparing risk assessments and audit schedules
Conducting mock-inspections
System improvements and efficiency
Preparation and/or maintenance of procedural documents (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, User Manuals, etc.)
Support with corrective actions and preventative actions (CAPA)
Training
She has also gained experience in safety database set-up and upgrades for a number of different well known safety databases. Due to being based in the European Union, the company can offer QPPV or Deputy QPPV services to like minded companies.
Ashley is a keen believer in continued professional development and undertakes training on a regular basis, including attendance at conferences. Ashley has always been keen to impart her knowledge and insight to others and can provide training to individuals or teams specific to their requirements.
